The Lions Festival of Lights is Calgary's largest FREE drive-by Christmas Lights showcase drawing over 60,000 visitors per day.  The Festival is now 99% GREEN,  It's comprised of over 650,000 bulbs on 25,000 strings and almost 4 km of power cords.

This years display is designed by Ian Regier, IR Design.  It is a collaborative effort that draws upon many volunteers, organizations, and sponsors. Through it all, the Calgary and area Lions Clubs members and all of the  volunteers keep things organized and on track.

Why do you do it?

Besides giving everyone in Calgary some Christmas cheer we do this to give back to our city.  Calgarians donate time and money to the Lions each and every year and this is one of our ways of saying Thank You!

Open 6pm - Midnight until Jan 8, 2020

Holiday Hours:
December 24,25 & 31: 5:00 pm – 1 am

Who Does It?

The Festival has been  organized by the Lions Festival of Lights Society for 34 years now.  Lions from Calgary and area donate their time to construct and setup the displays.  There are however many more people that contribute to the success of the event.  Sponsors come forward with financial support, or supplies to help fund the basics.  Volunteers are the essential link to making the Festival happen, without them the society or display would not be what it is today.
